For small partnerships e.g. 3 or less partners, we should treat the partners as private individuals.  Where the number of partners is greater we should treat them like private limited companies.

Where the partnership is made up of regulated professionals, it will be sufficient to confirm the practice's existence and the trading address from a reputable professional directory or search facility with the relevant professional body.  You should also identify the partner instructing you.
